Virtual Chapel

Welcome everyone to our virtual Chapel at St. Joseph's Catholic Secondary School.  This section allows our students and family members to join together in prayer throughout the school year.  Please view the various sections by clicking on the topic on the right navigation bar.  May God continue to bless our St. Joe's family and guide us each day.

St. Joseph’s Chaplaincy Program

Our chaplaincy program at St. Joseph’s supports and facilitates daily prayer, community worship of the various liturgical seasons, teen alpha, charitable and social justice projects and events, restorative practices and activities, the needs of those who have loss or are grieving, and offers faith resources for curriculum and social justice projects. Mr. Van Putten also acts a liaison with local parish communities, members of the clergy, and the diocese of Ottawa-Cornwall. The chaplaincy program also seeks to bring a faith and spiritual dimension to contemporary issues, activities, and events within our school community. We are here to help provide opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth, and individual pastoral support.

Hello Panther Families,

I would like to introduce our Lenten project this year for St. Joseph’s CSS.

Grapesyard Education Centre is in Kenya, and the students struggle to access education. They face various challenges in supporting the whole learning process in order that students can give back to their community someday.

I am excited to tell you that our school, St. Joseph's Catholic Secondary School, is participating in
the “School Connections Campaign” with Chalice https://www.chalice.ca/ and we’ve connected with Grapesyard Education Centre as our Sister School!

This year for our Lenten project we’re going to be praying for the students and staff of Grapesyard Education Centre, exchanging videos, and raising funds for the needed education materials they desperately need. Our goal is to raise $1500.00 in this regard.

I would like to invite you to donate to our campaign and would love it if you prayed for the children and staff.

Click on this link in order to donate today:  SJCSS Lenten Project Donation

Donations will be open until April 2, 2021.

Asante sana (thank you) and God bless!
